HISTORY OF
CASITAS DE CORRALES

How Casitas de Corrales began -

In 2022, Team Chavez ventured to a new opportunity in Corrales, New Mexico, and moved back to be in the same Village as their family.

The peace and opportunity here on this beautiful land and prosperous community give the Chavez’s hope to reimagine their past endeavors into a smaller but robust Healing House 2.0 on-site on the main road through Corrales.

The Chavez’s have worked most diligently the past few years in the grand transition of life, legacy, and business to settle once again into a diversified business scape and be closer to family, reconnecting to their Native New Mexican roots. Great and diligent work began in July of 2022 for the Chavez’s and their team to rehabilitate this "diamond in the rough” 2.5-acre property. Since then, after a year of construction, the creation of Casitas de Corrales Vacation | Corporate Rental Units has become fully rehabilitated with timeless New Mexico culture in mind and ready for rental occupancy in October of 2023.

The 5-plex units have been rebuilt from 1900’s World War II bunkers and sit in the heart of Corrales for vacations and professional stays.

The aim was to captivate guests with the warm and cozy ambiance each themed in remembrance of a loved one, is what each casita has to offer. Recreating small, mindful spaces for all to enjoy.

The interiors exude genuine Southwest charm:

  • Casita de Oro (little house of gold) - an ode to our grandparents

  • Casita de Mariposa (little butterfly house) - an ode to Duane’s mother

  • Casita de Mariquita (little ladybug house) - an ode to Jessyca’s mother

  • Casita de Nativo (little native house) - an ode to Duane’s father

  • Casita de Vaquero (little cowboy house) - an ode to Duane’s step-father.
